POTSDAM — Seasons Beauty Supply Store & Salon is now open offering haircuts and products to the community.

The shop held a grand opening at 11 Market St. on April 29.

Owner Lashawanda Ingram said she has been in the North Country for nearly 20 years and has had to travel back home to Rochester for haircuts and styling due to limited options for ethnic people.

“I am hoping to fill a void,” Ingram said.

Seasons offers haircuts, washes, trends, highlights, fades, tapers, Cesar-style and head massages. Products for sale include gel, shampoo and other hair products.

There are five booths for rent for interested cosmetologists and barbers, she said.

Ingram has two employees who are traveling from out of the area to work here and says she can use more employees.

“I am very excited,” Ingram said. “This is going to be good for the North Country.”

Appointments are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
