CANTON - A new name but the same great service and people is the message owner Nicole Hayes wants to share with residents as Pat Collins Real Estate changes name to Grasse River Real Estate

The official name change is expected to be complete early February and people can expect to see Grasse River Real Estate signs in yards moving forward.

Hayes said new signage is expected soon at her 4 East main Street location.

The business helps people buy and sell homes, commercial buildings, and land, mainly within St. Lawrence County.

Nicole Hayes, formerly a Licensed Real Estate Associate Broker with Pat Collins Real Estate, took over the company as broker and owner on Aug. 25, 2021. Collins remains on the staff as an associate broker.

"Nothing has changed ... still over 100 years of experience with the same service and same great people," Hayes said.

"I couldn't have done it without Pat," Hayes said.

The housing market has been tough in the North County since the pandemic and Hayes and her staff are willing and able to help people navigate the changing market.

"I feel like things are going back to normal," she said. "The bubble has burst so to speak."

She said she expects more reasonable pricing moving forward.

"We're here to help," she said. "We love helping new homebuyers, but repeat customers are always welcome."
