HANNAWA FALLS -- Major Bob Bender, Area Commander for The Salvation Army in Northern New York, recently delivered a trailer load of food to Helping Hands of Potsdam, located at 5868 Route 56 in Hannawa Falls.
Helping Hands Executive Director Tom Chappell picked up the food from Bender at the Massena Salvation Army.
"Charities across the country are working together and sharing resources to make sure that no one goes hungry during this crisis," Chappell said.
The food is from Sysco Foods company in Syracuse.
The food is available at the drive through food pantry Helping Hands is operating in Hannawa Falls. People in need can come pick up food without getting out of their cars.
Helping Hands is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
