POTSDAM – The Robert J. Freego Amvets Post 282 will be undergoing some renovations. The membership voted at the July meeting to change the pool room into a post lounge, said a press release from the post.
The post is accepting bids on the pool table. Bids must be submitted to the post by the August meeting. To submit a bid or check out the pool table stop by the post.
In addition, the post will be constructing a new kitchen over the next few months, and has already purchased a commercial stove for the renovation.
The first scheduled event for the new kitchen is a community breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Profits from the breakfast will be donated to the Disabled American Veterans.
