North Country Rep. Elise Stefanik has joined 43 of her House colleagues, led by Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-MI), in cosponsoring a resolution showing support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The resolution highlights the work those law enforcement agencies conduct in keeping the United States safe and secure.
“Our country is facing a crisis at the southern border and a nationwide crime crisis, and yet several of my House Democratic colleagues continue to call to defund DHS, ICE, and CBP officers who are on the frontlines,” said Stefanik.
“Just this week, I have met with law enforcement professionals and CBP officers from the North Country who are rightfully concerned by the harmful rhetoric and policies originating from the Far-Left.
“As President Biden and House Democrats continue to ignore these crises, I will always show support for and provide essential resources to those who work tirelessly at our borders to protect our country.”
