Owens will deliver the keynote address at the luncheon of the “Expand Your Business to the U.S.” event in Massena on the benefits of locating to the North Country. The event is hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce of Canada, the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, RACER Trust, the Business Development Corporation of Massena and the St. Lawrence County IDA.
The event will highlight business opportunities in Massena, and competitive advantages for Canadian companies seeking to establish manufacturing, assembly, warehousing, or distribution facilities in the U.S.
The event will be at the Vino Vidi Vici Restaurant.
Owens will then visit John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Ogdensburg and will tour construction of a new addition.
Owens is running in the 21st Congressional District to keep his seat in the face of challenges from Republican Matt Doheny of Watertown and Don Hassig of Colton, Green Party candidate.
