OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum is getting a grant for $12,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts for operating funds.
"Grants for general operating expenses are difficult to secure," said museum Executive Director Ed LaVarnway. “We're grateful that NYSCA is able to provide this support in these very challenging economic times."
Assemblywoman Addie Jenne Russell and New York Senator Darrel J. Aubertine helped in the grant funding process.
The Frederic Remington Art Museum, 303 Washington St., is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington, and contains an unmatched collection of his works.
The museum is open October 16 - May 14, Wednesday -Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm and May 15 - October 15, Monday -Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm.
