POTSDAM -- Seven volunteers from the American Red Cross of Northern New York chapter recently traveled to the Red Cross of Central New York in Syracuse for two courses in disaster services: Disaster Frontline Supervisor and Disaster Frontline Supervisor Simulation.
The purpose of the first course is to prepare supervisors to lead a team of disaster workers to deliver high quality service and to create a climate that promotes worker satisfaction.
The second course was a simulation providing participants an opportunity to practice their supervisory knowledge and skills in leading teams.
All disaster services courses are free for volunteers.
If you are interested in becoming a disaster services volunteer for the American Red Cross of Northern New York, you may call the Potsdam office at 268-0102 or email slc@redcrossnny.com.
