Rain and snow showers will be winding down this morning in St. Lawrence County, then there will be a return to drier weather through Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A strong cold front crosses the region later in the day Wednesday bringing with it rain and gusty winds, NWS says.
Expect a high temperature today of 34 and an overnight low of 24, the service says. Skies will be mostly cloudy and winds will be 5-7 mph.
Tuesday will be slightly warmer with mostly sunny skies.
The next chance for rain is Wednesday, which will also turn breezy, with highs in the lower 50s, forecasters say.

Tuesday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the evening.
Wednesday
Showers. High near 51. Breezy, with a south wind 14 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night
Rain showers likely before midnight, then rain and snow showers likely between midnight and 2am, then a chance of snow showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Breezy, with a southwest wind around 21 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
