Warm weather, rain and melting has forced the Tri-Town Winter Carnival committee to cancel some of the most popular events this weekend and next.
Chair Allan Fukes said the snowmobile drag races scheduled for Saturday have been called off, along with the vintage snowmobile races scheduled for next Saturday.
The warm weather caused a pooling of too much water on the river ice, he said.
In addition, due to a scheduling conflict, the trivia contest at Erin's Isle has also been cancelled.
