CANTON – Canton Police Chief Victor Rycroft reported a reasonably quiet shift for the village police on Halloween night.
He also wanted to thank the contractor doing road work in the village for a contribution to the community that night.
“A big tip of the hat to Luck Brothers Construction,” Rycroft said.
“They advised me that they would keep the Main Street light towers used in the Rt. 11 construction project turned on to assist any tricksters who might be on Main Street.
“We appreciated it as I hope parents of the little ones did too.”
