Dr. Krish, as he is known by his patients, is American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC).
Dr. Krishnakumar earned his medical degree from the University of Mysore, Mysore, India; and attended Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. His internship and initial residency training were both completed at Kasturba Medical College, and he then went on to finish his residency in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI; and his Psychiatric residency at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada.
Dr. Krishnakumar has been a local of the North Country region since 1980. “I have lived and worked in St. Lawrence County for many years, and this is home to me,” he said.
Dr. Krishnakumar comes to Canton-Potsdam Hospital with extensive experience in providing outpatient behavioral health treatment, including having worked with members of the military at Fort Drum. He provides treatment for individuals with medical management for psychiatric disorders, such as anxiety and depression.
