POTSDAM -- Potsdam native Patrick Regan has been appointed to SUNY Potsdam’s College Council.
His term begins immediately and runs through 2014.
The College Council is the principal local governance body at each unit of the State University of New York. SUNY Potsdam’s council consists of campus lay volunteers who are chosen for their commitment to higher education generally, and SUNY Potsdam specifically.
Regan, who has served as the executive director of the Massena Housing Authority since 2007, has dedicated his professional life and his free time to serving his community. He has 25 years of professional achievement in non-profit, municipal and private sector work.
In addition, he has served in many volunteer capacities in the community, including with the local school board.
"It's an honor to welcome Patrick Regan to the SUNY Potsdam College Council. He has shown through his extensive public service that he is dedicated to improving the lives of North Country residents," said College President Dr. John F. Schwaller.
As a high school student, Regan washed dishes in the dining facility in Lehman Hall, and while studying at Clarkson he took classes at Potsdam.
