POTSDAM — A Potsdam woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and allegedly kicked a St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputy following a motor vehicle accident investigation Monday.
Deputies said they investigated a motor vehicle crash on Sissonville Road and later charged 44-year old Sarah R. Gordon with first-offense DWI.
She was also charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment, officers said.
While in custody, Gordon allegedly kicked a deputy and repeatedly used obscene language in the emergency room at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
She reportedly refused a chemical test to determine her blood-alcohol content (BAC).
Gordon was arraigned by Judge Haggard, who suspended her license due to her chemical test refusal, and she was released on tickets returnable on Potsdam court at a later date.
