North Country This Week
POTSDAM — The town board passed a resolution at its July 13 meeting allowing town residents and town officials to continue to attend board meetings using the Zoom cloud conferencing platform.
Potsdam like many municipalities opted to hold public board meetings using the platform at the start of the pandemic when in person attendance was contraindicated.
The resolution passed by the board states that the town will continue to utilize the platform with meetings going forward even though in person attendance is now allowed.
Members of the public will be allowed to participate in public comment under the normal comment parameters set forth in the town meeting policy.
Non-board personnel, department heads, legal counsel and other speakers will be allowed to continue to participate through Zoom or telephone with permission from the Supervisor.
