POTSDAM -- Village police say they charged a Plattsburgh man with skitching on a vehicle and possessing a fake identification.
Zachary M. Bieber, 19, was charged with riding on/attaching self to the outside of a moving vehicle and possession of a forged/illegally obtained driver license.
Police say at 2:07 a.m. Sunday, he was hanging onto the back of a moving vehicle, sometimes referred to as skitching, on Market Street in an attempt to ski on the fresh snow.
After the vehicle was stopped, police said Bieber possessed a fake driver’s license.
He was cited and released with orders to appear in Potsdam Town Court on Feb. 5, police said.
