OGDENSBURG – A Potsdam man with Ogdensburg interests is hoping to bring a farmers’ market to Ford Street Extension.
Robert Carlisle owns a vacant lot zoned for commercial use, which lies next to Wal-Mart.
He said he's been in talks with local farmers about bringing a farmer's market to the city and hope to provide farm fresh options for Ogdensburg residents.
"I think it will give people some more choices for food," he said.
Carlisle said he's hoping to get approval from the city and has had support from the city's newly elected council members and mayor.
