POTSDAM -- Building Blocks Day Care and Building Adventures is raffling off a bright orange 18-inch Kent BMX freestyle bike.
This bike is for children 5 to 8 years old, and is valued at $100. Money raised will benefit the daycare’s “Growing With Us” campaign to build a new facility.
“Our goal with fundraising is to do child friendly fundraisers” said Director Marlene Pickering. “By raffling off a bicycle, we are supporting our interests in building a facility that reinforces our commitment to overall wellness.”
The new building will have play yards appropriate for children of all ages. The plan also includes a child-friendly indoor space for large motor activities when weather conditions prevent outdoor play.
Tickets are $1 each or get 6 tickets for $5, at the daycare center, 68 Lawrence Ave., behind Potsdam’s A.A. Kingston Middle School.
