POTSDAM - Elmer J. Murphy Chapter 164, Disabled American Veterans, Potsdam, is seeking new members and volunteer drivers. Low membership has the chapter at risk of having to surrender the Potsdam chapter.
A lack of volunteers also has the chapter at risk of losing their vans which provide a valuable service to the chapter’s brothers and sisters who have problems getting to doctor’s appointments and the VA Hospital in Syracuse.
If you are a disabled veteran, or have an interest in becoming a member or volunteer driver, please attend a meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. at Amvets Post 262, 6771 Rt. 11, Potsdam. You do not have to be an Amvets member to attend this meeting.
