Potsdam Central School seniors receive diplomas as families watch from cars

Potsdam Central School’s 99 graduating seniors walked a stage on the high school turf field for their commencement ceremony Saturday morning, July 11.

Family and friends were able to watch the graduation via a video of the ceremony projected on a jumbo screen in the parking lot, due to the pandemic restrictions.

However, ten families at a time were allowed on the bleachers to witness individual graduates receive their diplomas, while seniors were social distanced in chairs on the field.

Despite threatening skies, heavier rain held off until the end of the graduation ceremony.
