CANTON -- Podiatric Surgeon Jason Sabatini, DPM, ACFAS, has joined St. Lawrence Health System’s team at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, and his office is located in the EJ Noble Building, 80 E. Main St.

Dr. Sabatini earned his medical degree at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, IL. He completed a three-year Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Residency at Long Island Jewish/North Shore Hospitals, both Level I Trauma centers in New Hyde Park, NY. He has extensive training treating all conditions affecting the foot and ankle, including foot and ankle fracture repair, Achilles tendon treatment and repair, treatment and correction of flat foot deformities, and correction of bunion and hammertoe deformities. Dr. Sabatini also treats many other conditions including ingrown toenails, warts, and diabetic foot ulcerations. He offers all aspects of conservative care and is trained in minimally invasive surgery for many conditions affecting the foot and ankle.

Dr. Sabatini is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and New York Podiatric Medical Association.

During Dr. Sabatini’s residency in New York, he and his wife had the opportunity to travel through the North Country, and he said “we instantly fell in love with it.” He reported part of his family is historically French Canadian and originates from the St. Lawrence Valley area.

“After considering different areas to live and raise our three young children, my wife and I were once again drawn to New York and specifically to the St. Lawrence region. We have had a strong desire to raise our family in a small town in this beautiful, and rural area of the country,” Dr. Sabatini said.

“Our family loves the outdoors and we are looking forward to exploring the North Country. We are excited for this opportunity and look forward to immersing ourselves in this community. Oh yes, and my kids are thrilled to once again live where it snows,” he laughed.

As a podiatric surgeon, Dr. Sabatini is a specialist in the treatment of foot, ankle, and lower extremity disorders. More information about him may be found at https://www.stlawrencehealthsystem.org/providers/jason-sabatini.
