Parishville man facing drug charges after traffic stop in Fowler

FOWLER – A Parishville man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Friday in the Town of Fowler.

Ryan M. Gibson, 31, was stopped by state police around 10:46 p.m. and was found to be in possession of a quantity of illegal heroin/fentanyl, said state police.

Gibson was charged with felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. tampering with physical evidence, and misdemeanor counts of third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest, along with several traffic tickets.

Gibson was arraigned in the Town of Fowler Court and released on his own recognizance.

The New York State Police were assisted by the United States Border Patrol and the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force.
