OGDENSBURG — Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and the Grinch were among the holiday characters at Ogdensburg’s annual Holiday Parade Saturday night.
Dozens of area businesses and organizations also participated with holiday themed floats.
Many people in the parade threw out candy to the delight of children lining State Street.
Several firetrucks and rescue vehicles from St. Lawrence County were lit up as they drove in the parade.
The Ogdensburg Free Academy football team wore red ribbons to honor longtime firefighter Blair Roethel.

The Grinch made an appearance in the America 1 Realty float at the Ogdensburg Holiday Parade Saturday night.
The Ogdensburg Free Academy football team honored Blair Roethel by wearing red ribbons in the Holiday Parade Saturday night. Roethel was honored for being a firefighter for 38 years and a big part of our community, said Rhonda Roethel.
