WASHINGTON – Congressman Bill Owens is expressing pleasure in response to news that the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has formally agreed to exempt milk containers from EPA oil-spill prevention rules.
“I am pleased that we are one step closer to exempting dairy farmers from this unnecessary regulation,” said Owens.
“This is a big win for upstate dairy farmers who do not need bureaucracy standing between them and the success of their businesses.
“I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues across the aisle, as well as Senators Schumer and Gillibrand, to ensure that dairy farmers in the region are provided the tools they need to thrive.”
