POTSDAM – The Orchestra of Northern New York invites the public to join Maestro Kenneth Andrews and 62 professional musicians as they present the popular summer pops concert, Broadway On Demand, at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 3 at SUNY Potsdam’s Hosmer Hall.
The program opens with the national anthems of Canada and the U.S., John Williams’ Liberty FanFare. During the playing of the Armed Forces Salute, audience members who are current military or veterans are asked to stand and be acknowledged for the service and sacrifice to our country as the themes from the individuals branches of the armed services are presented.
Music from such Broadway hits as My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, and Hamilton, among others will also be performed. The program closes with the 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes Forever.
Tickets are available at the door or may be purchased in advance at Brick and Mortar Music, 15 Market St., Potsdam, online at www.onny.org, or by calling the CPS box office at 315-267-2277.
