One new COVID-19 case reported in St. Lawrence County on Tuesday; 8 cases active

St. Lawrence County Public Health Department officials say there was one new case of COVID-19 reported in the county on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

There are eight active cases with none of them hospitalized.

Health officials said 319 cases have been released from isolation and four have died of the illness.

County hospitals have performed 64,829 tests for COVID-19 as of Monday, the most recent date for which data was available. So far, there have been a total of 331 confirmed coronavirus cases in St. Lawrence County.

Testing is done through local hospital systems by appointment only. Call the numbers below between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. if you have symptoms or feel you should be tested:

"New York On PAUSE continues until October 11th 2020 (as written in Executive Order 202.60), requiring postponement, cancellation, or restriction of all non-essential gatherings of more than fifty (50) individuals, and gatherings occurring indoors must not exceed 50% of maximum capacity, provided the region has reached Phase 4 of the State’s reopening, and provided that social distancing, face covering, and cleaning and disinfection protocols required by the Department of Health are adhered to.
