POTSDAM – One person was reported hurt in a three-vehicle accident Saturday on US 11 at Wright Road.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies, who investigated the accident, said that a vehicle driven by James, Buckley, 46, 431 Anderson Rd. Potsdam, failed to stop at the stop sign on the Wright Road and struck a van traveling on Rt. 11 driven by Dale Dalton, 58, 54 Cornell Ave., Massena.
Gregory Hooper, 35, 922 Lafayette St., Ogdensburg, was traveling behind Dalton’s vehicle, swerved to avoid the accident, the vehicle leaving the road and striking a road sign.
A 15-year-old female passenger in Buckley’s vehicle complained of pain ion her left elbow, and was treated at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, deputies said.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by New York State Police, West Potsdam Fire Department, and Potsdam Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
Buckley was issued a ticket alleging failure to yield the right of way.
