CANTON – An Ogdensburg Police Lieutenant is charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident on State Highway 310 Saturday evening.
Corey J. Maxner, 36, of Waddington, was charged with driving while intoxicated after St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an accident with assistance from the Canton fire and rescue and state police.
The release from the Sheriff’s Department did not include a Blood Alcohol Content or details on the accident, but noted the investigation is ongoing.
A press release issued by the City Manager Stephen Jellie stated Maxner has been suspended without pay pending an investigation.
“The City of Ogdensburg will have no further comment until this personnel matter is concluded,” Jellie said.
