OGDENSBURG — Kid’s Place, the children’s museum at the Frederic Remington Art Museum, is open seven days a week during the months of July and August.

The children’s museum will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.

Kid’s Place features dynamic interactive exhibits, opportunities for creative play, and art activities created expressly for children of different ages and learning abilities. A fully staffed kids’ art studio is stocked with art materials and projects. Kid’s Place is always free to children and their caregivers.

This summer Kid’s Place will offer a free “Monday Masterpieces” program for children ages 6-12. Each Monday from noon to 1:00 pm, Museum Interpreter Martin Arquitt will introduce kids to the work of a famous artist and help them create their own masterpieces in the style of that artist.

Also continuing through the summer is the free, weekly “Lunch Bunch” program, when children ages 2-6 bring a bagged lunch to eat with friends, make an art project, and play together. The “Lunch Brunch” program is offered every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Kid’s Place is located in the Museum’s Eva Caten Remington Education Center at 323 Washington Street, Ogdensburg, down the street from the Museum and across the street from Library Park and the Ogdensburg Public Library.
