Ogdensburg museum names winners of April Fool's Day Ball raffle

OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum has announced the winners of the Frederic Remington’s April Fool’s Day Ball raffle.

On April 1 the museum held the biggest non-event of the season. In preparation, invitations had been mailed out encouraging donations, asking donors not to attend the April Fool’s Day Ball. The fundraiser netted $2,950.

For every $25 contributed, donors were entered in a raffle of four prizes. The winners are: Douglas Steward of Royal Oak, MI won a small bronze reproduction of The Broncho Buster; Boyd Foster of Ogdensburg, won the book “A Catalogue Raisonne II”; Ben Nichols of Newington, won a Frederic Remington canvas print; and Boyd Foster also won a one year Pioneer membership to the Frederic Remington Art Museum.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington Street, Ogdensburg. It is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington.

The Museum is open Oct. 15 through May 15, Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. and May 16 through Oct. 14, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
