OGDENSBURG – State police charged an Ogdensburg man with driving while his ability was impaired after an accident in which he was injured.
Cory D. Cameron, 31, of 1407 Greene St., was charged following a two-car accident at about 10:30 Wednesday morning on St. Rt 812 in the Town of Oswegatchie.
Cameron was taken to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center by Ogdensburg Rescue for a complaint of chest pain and was later released.
Cameron was traveling northbound on 812 when he drifted out of the northbound lane and struck a vehicle that was parked on the east shoulder, troopers said.
Police say he was operating a vehicle while taking prescription medication. At the hospital, he was issued tickets for DWAI-drugs, reckless driving, and a license violation, operating out of class.
All tickets are returnable to Town of Oswegatchie Court on Oct. 13.
Cameron was released to a third party.
