Ogdensburg man held on $10,000 bail following charge of sex crime with child

OGDENSBURG - An Ogdensburg man is being held on $10,000 bail for a felony charge of criminal sexual activity with a child under the age of 11.

Cody A. Palmer, 20, of Ogdensburg was charged Tuesday at 6:06 p.m. with first-degree criminal sexual activity in the town of Oswegatchie, according to Canton-based New York state police.

Troopers say Palmer was arrested following an investigation, which began Wednesday after troopers received a complaint of possible abuse of a 10-year-old male.

Following the investigation troopers issued an order of protection. Palmer was remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility.
