Ogdensburg man faces manslaughter charge following death of 11-month old
OGDENSBURG – An Ogdensburg man is charged with second-degree manslaughter following the death of an 11-month old baby, according to Ogdensburg police.
Trevor James Samarco, 34, of 423 Belmont Courts, was charged with second-degree manslaughter following an investigation into a complaint of an unresponsive baby May 11 at around 11:30 a.m.Ogdensburg Fire Department, Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Ogdensburg Police Department members performed lifesaving measures upon arrival, but despite the efforts the baby was pronounced deceased at Claxton-Hepburn medical Center a short time later, police said.

Samarco was arraigned by the Honorable Marcia Lemay and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $10,000 Bail / $20,000 Bond. Assisting the Ogdensburg Police Department were assisted in the investigation by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office, St. Lawrence County Probation Department, and Child Protective Services.
