OGDENSBURG – An Ogdensburg man is charged with second-degree manslaughter following the death of an 11-month old baby, according to Ogdensburg police.
Ogdensburg Fire Department, Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Ogdensburg Police Department members performed lifesaving measures upon arrival, but despite the efforts the baby was pronounced deceased at Claxton-Hepburn medical Center a short time later, police said.
Further details were not available at this time.
Samarco was arraigned by the Honorable Marcia Lemay and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $10,000 Bail / $20,000 Bond. Assisting the Ogdensburg Police Department were assisted in the investigation by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office, St. Lawrence County Probation Department, and Child Protective Services.
