CANTON – An Ogdensburg man was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility Tuesday for illegally possessing a weapon.
Jason R. Menard, 45, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon following a traffic stop on Main Street, Canton, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
The charge stems from Menard having a previous felony conviction.
Menard was arraigned in Hermon Town Court in front of Judge Velez and remanded to the county jail.
Sheriff's deputies were assisted on scene by the Canton Police Department.
