Ogdensburg City Council will allow in-person attendance at Monday meeting

OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg City Council will meet Monday Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. and allow in-person attendance.

“In-person attendance will be permitted in accordance with CDC and New York State Department of Health guidance which includes enforcing the 50% facility capacity requirements, social distancing, the wearing of face masks and heightened cleaning and disinfection procedures,” according to a message from the City Manager, which was issued with the agenda.

“The 50% facility capacity requirement for City Council Chambers is 87 individuals, which will include all members of Council and staff. In the event public attendance is greater than permitted, individuals wishing to address Council will be assembled by topic and cycled into Council Chambers to allow everyone an opportunity to speak.”

The meeting will be held at city hall.

Remote attendance for the meeting will also be offered via videoconferencing using GoToWebinar.com and a transcript will be provided at a later date.

Those who are only able to attend by telephone and do not have a device to view the meeting (i.e., desktop, laptop, tablet/ipad, smartphone) will not be able to be unmuted for Public Hearings, Personal Appearance or Citizen Participation during the meeting. Those people are encouraged to request their comments be read at the meeting by sending a message to cjock@ogdensburg.org before 4pm on Monday, August 10, 2020.
