OGDENSBURG -- A new iPhone app created by Purple Forge, which has an office in Ogdensburg as well as Ottawa, Ont., and other cities, is expected to help increase voting by young adults in Victoria, British Columbia.
The app is being used in Victoria's by-election and referendum and is designed to increase engagement among the coastal city's largest demographic: voters between ages 25 and 39.
Kevin Falcon launched the iPhone application as part of his campaign to become the new leader of the B.C. Liberal Party and the province’s next premier.
The free, 9.3-megabyte iPhone app offers news and event information from the campaign, and ways to get in touch with Falcon’s team.
Purple Forge sells subscription based services to groups looking to engage their members using the latest mobile application technology and leveraging social networking best practices.
