“This is a ‘wow’ feeling to have this honor,” said LaMacchia.
LaMacchia has over 16 years of public service, in the City of Ogdensburg Recreation Department, Zoning Board of Appeals, City Council, and with the Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education.
“I congratulate Fred Carter Sr., on a job well done and thank him and the board for supporting me and I am really excited to work with our board team, authority staff, local, county, state, and federal leaders to turn the economic fortunes of our area around.”
“Mr. LaMacchia has a unique perspective which will be beneficial as we continue to move forward with the authority’s mission” said authority’s Executive Director Wade Davis.
The Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority is a New York State Public Benefit Corporation operating the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge, the Port of Ogdensburg, the New York & Ogdensburg Railway, Commerce Park and the Ogdensburg International Airport.
