OGDENSBURG – AmVets Post 19 is hoping to bring the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall to the city.
Already, members are planning a jamboree to help raise the $12,000 needed, and members say they have raised half of the money needed, according to Dianna Solomon.
Meanwhile, a jamboree will be held at the AmVets Post on Saturday, Feb. 26 starting at 1 p.m. to raise money to bring the wall to Ogdensburg. Lots of bands, a silent auction, 50-50's and food are planned.
Businesses or individuals who would like to donate towards the cause can call the AmVets 393-6140, Don Cooke at 393-7187, Wayne Washburn at 393-4383 or Dianna (Hilborne) Solomon at 276-0995.
Contributions may also be sent to Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall, Amvets Post 19, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
