POTSDAM -- The official ground breaking of the new Potsdam Animal Shelter on Madrid Avenue is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2.
Government officials, local officials, and Potsdam Humane Society staff and board will be present.
Loran Construction has been awarded the contract for the building.
Site preparation began in July for the $1 million expansion and renovation project. Sheehan Construction of Potsdam donated their services for the site preparation work.
