The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging will be distributing farmers market coupons again this year.
The coupons are vailable to eligible senior citizens at locations throughout the county and at the annual senior picnic.
From July 1 through Nov. 30, low income eligible seniors (with monthly income at or below $1,926 for a one-person household, $2,607 for a two-person household, or $3,289 for a three-person household), age 60 and over, may use farmers market coupons to purchase locally grown, fruits and vegetables from local farmers' markets.
Office for the Aging will begin distributing coupon booklets beginning July 1 in the office, and continue distribution until they run out.
Booklets will also be available at the Senior Picnic on July 12 at the Gouverneur Community Center. Distribution locations and dates are listed below.
Booklets cannot be mailed and may not be picked up by proxies. Power of Attorney may sign for booklets, but a POA form is needed. Booklets are first come, first served.
One coupon booklet will be issued to all eligible seniors in a household, regardless of how many seniors live in the household.

• Massena, Laurel Terrace, 9 Laurel Ave., Monday, July 8, 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.; Grassmere Terrace, 1 Grassmere Rd., Monday, July 8, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
• Canton, Meal Center, Grasse River Apts., Riverside Dr., Tuesday, July 9, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Potsdam, Midtown Apartments, 1 Munson St., Wednesday, July 10, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
