The St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging announced that its 6th annual Holiday Gift Drive for older adults in the home delivered meal program was a huge success, a press release from the organization.
Office for the Aging thanked the community, county employees, local senior clubs and groups, and local businesses for their donations.
Gifts were distributed to over 200 clients, the press release said.
"The department is incredibly grateful for the support received to help make the holidays brighter for senior citizens in our county," said the Office for the Aging.
The Office for the Aging provides service and advocacy for county residents 60 years and older.
Programs and services includes: Nutrition Centers and Home Delivered Meals; Home Care Services; Family Caregiver Support; Medical Transportation; Legal Services; Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance.
The Office’s mission is to develop a service system specifically designed to best meet the social and human needs of the elderly.
