NORWOOD --- The Norwood Lake Association held their annual meeting at the Norwood Municipal Building recently with approximately 50 members present.

Election of officers was conducted with James H. McFaddin re-elected president, William Grant elected vice president, Elaine Saarinen elected secretary and Elaine Perry re-elected treasurer.

Joan and Harold Raymonda of 5 Pleasant St. in Norwood were recognized as “Citizens of the Year.” Joan and Harold are well known for their outstanding service to local residents as well as their many kind acts that benefit those in need. It was stated that Norwood is known as a “Nice Place to Live” because of residents like Joan and Harold.

Lunch was served using the new municipal building kitchen for the first time.

A financial report was given by treasurer Perry indicating the association is in good financial condition.

The Norwood Lake Association stages the annual Norwood Lake Regatta, to be held Aug. 27 and 28 this year. They also recently stabilized a village historic building that was in a state of collapse. They re-built the gazebo at the beach that provides a place to relax for boaters on Norwood Lake. They operate the recycling center, open each Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.
