WATERTOWN -- Rande S. Richardson, executive director of the Northern New York Community Foundation, announced grants were approved this week totaling over $100,000 in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties.
For St. Lawrence County organizations, grants totaled $45,000, including $25,000 for the Frederic Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, in support of their centennial campaign, and $20,000 in support of Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s “Constructing Healthier Communities” campaign and the expansion of cancer treatment services.
The Northern New York Community Foundation, Inc. manages and administers a permanent endowment and funds for the benefit of the community. Guided by a board of community leaders, the Foundation makes grants to support the work of non-profit organizations and provides scholarships to individuals in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties.
