North Country This Week
CANTON -- Hundreds of children and their parents attended the second annual North Country Kids Expo Saturday at SUNY Canton’s Roos House Athletic Center.
Approximately 1,100 people attended the event, said Brooke Rouse, St. Lawrence County Chamber director.
Rouse said more than 550 children were at the event this year, which is 200 more than last year.
Wearing face paintings by Cubby T Clown, children played corral ball, planted flower seeds, participated in a spaghetti engineering challenge and other activities.
Parents found out information on summer camps, day care programs, health and other services.
More than two dozen organizations and vendors from across the North Country set up booths, demonstrations, and activities.
The event was sponsored by St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
