No new coronavirus cases reported in St. Lawrence County on Tuesday or Wednesday

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported to the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department on Tuesday, June 30 or Wednesday, July 1, therefore the total number of confirmed positive cases to-date is 217.

Two cases are active and 212 cases have been released from isolation. There are no patients hospitalized with COVID-19, Public Health said.

The disease has caused three deaths in St. Lawrence County, said Public Health. This fatality data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on July 1 before 2 p.m.

Public Health said 18,032 people have been tested for COVID-19 as of June 30, the most recent date for which data was available.

Testing is being done through both St. Lawrence Health System and Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. Testing is by appointment only. Call the hotline numbers below between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. if you have symptoms, you are an essential worker or feel you should be tested:

"New York On PAUSE continues through 11:59pm on Sunday, July 26th 2020 (as written in Executive Order 202.45), requiring postponement, cancellation, or restriction of all non-essential gatherings of more than fifty (50) individuals, and gatherings occurring indoors must not exceed 50% of maximum capacity, provided the region has reached Phase 4 of the State’s reopening, and provided that social distancing, face covering, and cleaning and disinfection protocols required by the Department of Health are adhered to. Businesses or entities in industries open for Phase One, Two, Three and Four must be operated subject to the guidance promulgated by the Department of Health.
