NNCS officials confirm second case of COVID-19 in district

NORWOOD — Norwood-Norfolk Central School will remain in remote learning for the next two days as it deals with its second positive case of COVID-19 in the district.

In a statement to the school community, NNCS Superintendent Jamie Cruikshank said that the person who tested positive had not been in the district for a number of days and the contact with the first case was made outside of school.

“We understand that this places a strain on our families to find childcare, but the overall health and safety of the community is paramount,” Cruikshank said.

Those who came into contact with the positive individual will be contacted by public health officials and be placed under mandatory quarantine.
