Dr. Atkinson is a Diplomate of the American Board of the American Board of Pediatrics and is designated as board certified. She earned her medical degree from The University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica; and underwent her pediatric residency at Holtz Children’s Hospital, Miami, Fla.

“Children are such precious gifts and I love being part of their growth and well-being. My devotion to children stimulates my compassion for them and is a source of great joy I receive each day while I interact with them and their families,” Dr. Atkinson said. “I feel privileged to have the opportunity to be involved in their lives, and I’m driven to provide thorough pediatric care to each of my treasured patients. Dr. Atkinson comes to Canton-Potsdam Hospital with experience in caring for children with diverse concerns ranging from acute infectious diseases and illnesses to chronic illnesses, along with developmental behavior conditions such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and developmental delays.
