A new mobile phone app will allow fans to order food from their seats at Cheel Arena gets its first big test this weekend during the Clarkson Golden Knights men’s hockey games Friday and Saturday night.
It was developed by Clarkson University entrepreneurship students so that fans can get some food and not miss any of the game.
Fans scan the QR code on the sticker on the floor in front of their seats to have their food delivered to them.
IDS – Innovative Delivery System – is a newly founded student-run company seeking to “maximize one's stadium experience by offering a concession delivery service during the game.”
The students plan to expand the business to other venues and are working on a restaurant version.
