MASSENA -- A New Jersey man was charged with possessing 100 grams of crack cocaine Dec. 20, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.
Thomas L. Critten, 28, of Jersey City, N.J. was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest stemmed from a vehicle stop conducted by a St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputy on Andrews Street in the Town of Massena, police said.
During the vehicle stop Critten was found to be in possession of approximately 100 grams of crack cocaine.
Critten was arraigned by Town of Massena Court judge Joe Brown and remained to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on no bail pending further court proceedings, police said.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by members of the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, Massena Police Department, and the United States Border Patrol.
The investigation is ongoing with further charges pending, police said.
