She earned her medical degree at University of Medicine and Health Science, Basseterre, St. Kitts, and underwent her residency in family medicine at Washington Health System, Washington, Penn. She brings nine years of professional healthcare knowledge, including clinical research study experience.

“Building a relationship with my patients allows me to get to know them, and be able to treat them better. As they get to know me, they will open up, and we will establish a bond,” she said in a news release from SLHS. “This is a small community, and I will see them outside the office. I want our connection to go beyond my just being their doctor.”

She is certified in advanced cardiac life support, and basic life support, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has published several articles, and is a contributing author on “First Aid USMLS Step 1” 2014 Edition, and on “Organic Chemistry Classroom Companion” 1st Edition for MCAT and PREP 101.

Rajagopal performs or requests diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes treatments, administers vaccinations, and performs follow-up examinations for pediatric and adult patients alike. She also offers breastfeeding counselling, postpartum care, varied contraception methods (such as IUD, nexaplanon), routine screenings and pap smears, mammograms, and colonoscopies.
